  • Possum Creek Farm

    Develop permaculture food design, manage a consistent team of woofers, build from scratch pasture-raised egg enterprise to 1800 laying hens selling to farmers markets, cafes, and retail. Brand development. Build systems and processes to enable clear on-farm workflow and efficiencies.

  • Byron Creek Farm

    Design and develop a poultry enterprise for meat and eggs integrating cattle to create a system that produced the highest quality food whilst improving the pastures. This farm’s hero was pasture-raised meat chickens arguably pioneering this successfully in the northern rivers Supplying farmer’s markets and top chefs in the region.

  • Misty Creek Agroforestry

    Assist in developing and implementing pastured meat bird enterprise into an agroforestry context. This was introduced to generate a secure solid revenue for the farm enterprise, whilst being the key nutrition provider for the plethora of fruit trees and veggies grown on the farm.

  • Conscious Ground

    Working as the Animal systems teacher, to develop and implement a regenerative animal system incorporating pasture eggs, meat chickens, and cattle. This also involved training new young farmers to manage the system developed. This incorporated sticking density, grazing plans, brooder design, and build egg processing and poultry processing. Being passionate about passing on this knowledge it was a pleasure to educate the numerous young farmers coming through as workers and volunteers.

  • Byron Grass Fed

    Building a small start-up in a new field of championing local ethical providers. Working with several local grass-fed and finished beef producers who use regenerative practices to bring their best practice beef into local top-end restaurants, farmers markets, retailers, and direct online delivery. This paused whilst working for the council as well as the need to develop local supply as it wasn’t meeting the demand.

  • Fig Rock Farm

    Taking on an old conventionally run avocado orchard to a certified organic regenerative system. Adding additional revenue streams by interplanting Davidson plumbs, native support species, beneficial insect plantings, and working with the native rainforest species naturally coming in whilst integrating chickens for fertilisation and biomass management.

  • Byron Shire Council Agriculture Extension Officer

    Developing a new role with the council to support, advise, and educate local farmers to help increase production in the most sustainable way possible. This includes facilitating and running numerous workshops and field days and consulting on over 100 properties within the region.

    Connecting farmers to farmers and extending best practice knowledge out there is crucial to building more resilient and productive farms in our region.
